Easy Guacamole Recipe
Personally I like a smooth guacamole, to match the smoothness of it’s plate partner sour cream. I also don’t like to add onion or tomato as for me, it takes away from the beauty of the avocado. I couldn’t find my normal guacamole recipe, so I just made this one up on the spot and I was amazed at the result – delicious! Sorry about the picture, the guacamole was still in the bowl I made it in and it didn’t look all that pretty for a photo, so I just took a picture of the nachos instead. You can still see though how smooth and creamy it is.
Makes approx 1 cup
- 1 Shepard avocado, peeled and stone removed (I find this variety gives the smoothest result, but any variety is fine)
- 3 heaped teaspoons sour cream
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled
- 1/2 teaspoon honey
- 10 drops of Garlic Tabasco
- Plenty of salt and freshly ground black pepper
Place all the ingredients into a small food processor or blender, and process until smooth. Season to taste using extra lime, honey, Tabasco, salt and pepper. Easy and delicious! Tim hates avocado (he says he’s allergic, but I don’t even know if that’s really true) but he couldn’t resist trying this on his nachos and commented that it really made a difference to the dish.
