Is it too early to be thinking about Christmas?

October 13, 2013 by

Normally I wouldn’t start thinking about Christmas until November 1st (where the unwritten rule says wait until after Halloween even though we don’t celebrate it in Australia) but I just can’t wait this year. Clearly other people are of the same mind, as I am seeing lots of Christmas activity around the blogosphere and the shops are starting to bring in all their seasonal merchandise. This will be the first time my parents will be having Christmas outside of our family home in Queensland, and it’s going to be very exciting to have them with us.

I have started a board on Pintrest called A Homemade Christmas, where you can keep up to date with all my holiday inspiration. This year we have decided to do a no fuss, cold buffet for our main meal, as it will only be my parents and Tim and I, and we just want to enjoy Christmas restfully this year instead of running around cooking for 18 hours like we usually do (not that we don’t love that too!). I will be posting my Christmas menus, and I have some free Christmas printables to share, plus great homemade gift ideas and decorations too. You can find all my inspiration on my Pintrest board so please check it out.
